Most definitely will be going back. The food was excellent! The owners were very nice and treated you with respect.

The egg rolls are delicious! And the fried rice is good as well. The potsticker had great filling but was kind of doughy. But the chicken Lo mein had way to much garlic to the point that I had a couple bits after stirring it up and still can’t eat it...

Exquisite service and delicious food. Very nice ambiance with traditional and modern decor. The waiter was attentive and very helpful. The prices are incredibly affordable! Will return again and again

This place.... After finishing our first plate we were provided our bill. I don't know who gave this place 4 stars! The food was way too salty... The buffet food was setup beautifully but the food look like its been sitting up for a while.

Great lunch value. $6.75 got me a chicken wing, crab ragoon, small soup, entree w/ fried rice. The food was tasty, the service was very quick too.Will be going again.

We really wanted to like China Moon and I absolutely hate giving meh reviews. The atmosphere was nice and appropriate although a bit dated. We were the only lunch diners in a pretty large place which is always a concern. Prices for all the lunch items were low. We had pot stickers which were huge, but just didn't have the slight crunch and spice we prefer. Soup appetizer was pretty standard and the egg role was a little above average. The main dish (garlic chicken) was disappointing, the chicken was gristly and rubbery, the sauce generally bland and in general I felt the dish was just uncared for. Attention to detail matters. If the food was a touch better this place would be great. No complaints on the service. I would recommend they cut their menu, focus on the food and the customers will come back.

The food was good as was the service. It was very cool in the room we were in.

Very polite gentleman helped us with our order and he made sure that our order was correct before it was cooked and repeated our order when it came out of the kitchen. We were so happy that we finally found someplace that made bourbon chicken. It's the bomb diggity!!!! 😁😁😁😁

LOVED This restaurant! We've tried several shrimp, beef and chicken entrées. Delicious! The different sauces are very good, and the veggies and meats are fresh. Delivery was pretty quick. We had an Entrée missing from our last delivery, I called and they were very polite and apologetic. They delivered the missing entrée plus a bunch of extras because of our inconvenience. Awesome service great food! This is our new favorite place for Chinese food! Haven't had a bad meal yet!

I really enjoy there lunch specials. You get a crab rangoon main entree in the soup. I like they're hot and sour soup the best of any Chinese places I've tried recently. The Szechuan chicken is very good also. Good portion size.

The service was excellent! Nicely decorated place right down to the fancy napkins. In addition, the food was pretty good as well! Prices are about average and it has been very quick to get in and out for lunch when I have gone.

We came for lunch and Thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was fantastic! A very friendly and accommodating staff. I had the orange chicken and it was excellent! The hot and sour soup was the best I've ever had. My friend had the Hunan veggies and enjoyed it very much. We will both be back. This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Des Moines.

Best crab rangoon in the city and amazing fried rice. Good sized portions and yummy food. Great comfort food or date night.

My food was excellent. Had rice noodles with shrimp. I would recommend it. The gentleman server was attentive and helpful. My wife's food was spicier than she expected. If you don't like spicy you may want to ask about what you are ordering.

China Moon’s food is a few notchesbetter than most Asian restaurants in DSM area. Our family has been eating there for 20+ years.

My work buddy and I stumbled on this small place.. IT WAS AMAZING! You could tell all the veggies where made fresh and the Gentleman that served Us was a great guy! He even packed up our leftovers for Us.. I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

A friend of mine and I stopped into the China Moon restaurant, expecting things to be just so-so as it was very late in the evening.I was just planning on getting a cup of soup and calling it a night but, after looking at their expansive menu, we both ordered meals and to our delight, the meals were absolutely delicious! They were served very quickly and the China Moon restaurant is beautiful and very clean.

This is a regular place for us in Ankeny. Good people and excellent food. If you can dream it, they can make it. Recommend

Usually go there on Thursday with my sons on my day off but we tried the sunday buffet it was great when food ran low I was asked what I wanted and they made fresh and had fresh fruit was great we will be going back on a Sunday

Delivery was timely, but food lacked spice, despite ordering hot and spicy. Apple dessert was awful, even after adding more sugar and cinnamon. Overall, nothing was very good. Disappointed.

Avoid the buffet really gross. Only thing I liked was the egg drop soup an the sweet an sour soup and that wasn't in the buffet. The egg rolls were good but there were only three in the whole pan. The spoons to scoop the food were coated so bad had to grab silver wear from table to avoid the seafood cause of allergies. They should have call the crispy chicken super soggy and the pork taste like it should have been tossed out weeks ago. The staff was super friendly my guess they need to fire the cook and hire a maid.

Wow!!! I’m a super critic when it comes to Asian dining. I don’t just consider only the food but the ambiance, the service, and how comfortable you feel. I was impressed to say the least. When you walk in, you feel like you’re in a new and different environment. The decor is fantastic and seems authentic. The food is DELICIOUS!! There are so many choices so you will definitely find something you want. I ordered the dinner for 2 with the Happy Family and Mongolian Beef. The shrimp and scallops were high quality and cooked to PERFECTION. It comes with everything you want including a house plum/pineapple wine. They also have a large variety of drinks and cocktails that are creative. The music is quiet and relaxing and just right to make the perfect Chinese meal experience. The staff were extremely attentive!!!! They seemed very genuine and friendly. Also, there’s a fun surprise at the end of your meal that you will love. Best chinese meal experience I’ve had in a long time!!!!

Almost $50 for 4 entrees. The broccoli chicken had no color and was tasteless. Lo mein tasted like garlic. Worst food I’ve had. I will not order from here again.

We went on a date night, so randomly picked this place (never been) at 6PM we where the ONLY people in there, now we know why It was really cold in there, maybe 50's. Made our food cold before we could even start eating it. BUT then we got Uncooked pot stickers (didnt eat)Food was off in flavor (didnt eat much)Staff (one guy) was kinda nice at first but was annoyed that we sent back pot stickers and that we really didn't eat anything more due to flavor and being coldHad to get food elsewhere, will not be going back

Waited 1hr after placing order online. Neighbors ordered via phone 15 mins later and recieved order 20 mins later. Called and was on hold for 8 mins. Wife called then and they stated they JUST got our online order and would be about 20 mins for delivery. Would not use their online order app ever with this service. Super bad... if I would have known... would have called in. Trying to support local establishments but they make if very hard to do so.
